The Art of Frank Wright

Wright depicted many landscapes of his favorite places in America, reflecting the feeling of peace and renewal each locale offered. Some of his favorite subjects included the Chesapeake Bay, Washington DC, and Ogunquit, Maine. Wright completed several American landscape commissions, most notably for the National Aeronautics Space Administration (NASA). He enjoyed depicting many of the same scenes at different times of day, revealing how the same landscape can change depending on the light, as well as in different seasons.
